CransioSacral Therapy (CST) began in the osteopathic community in the early 1900’s as a way to feel restrictions in the cranial bones and fascia. Believing that the body knows how to heal itself, the provider creates a safe neutral place for the body to do what it inherently knows it needs to do. With a gentle hands-on non-invasive touch, the provider is able to aid the body in regaining normal function in the nervous, lymph, hormonal, myofascial and gastrointestinal system by freeing the cranial bones and fascia. CST treats the whole person focusing on the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health of the client.
The cransiosacral system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using the gentle touch providers aid in releasing the restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
CST may aid:
- Central Nervous System Disorders
- Chronic Fatigue
- Chronic Neck & Back Pain
- Ear Problems
- Emotional Difficulties
- Stress & Tension Related Problems
